Responding to the Sydney College of the Arts (2009) seminar AWKARD OBJECTS jeweller/writer Roseanne Bartley wrote a provocative paper that explores how the notion of ‘awkward’ in jewellery disrupts, subverts or heightens the moral contract between maker, object, and wearer.
